PHP5

PHP5 MySQL module is used to access the database. Other software used are SimpleXML and also the GD extension for image support.

This is a PHP-based template library which is used to show all the required content.

MySQL

In this case, MySQL 4.1 was used but again it is expected that all the later versions will also work fine.

Many of the features of Siteframe utilize functions of MySQL which are available with the 4.1 version and later. Even if the software works with the older versions yet features like accessing control lists and full text searching will not be there.

Similarly, since InnoDB tables have been used, versions of MySQL without this feature will not work with Siteframe web hosting.

Siteframe Beaumont

This is the 5.0 release of Siteframe. It has everything contained in the previous versions and also includes many more innovative and advanced features which make the CMS still more reliable and functional.

Some of the main features are:

Simple Registration and Invitation Interface: A new user has to be invited by an existing user of Siteframe and the registration takes place very smoothly with the new user's email address getting checked by the CMS.

Social Networking: This will allow you to classify some users as "favorites" and provide updates to them about their posts.

Security Enhancements: This is a very healthy feature which does not allow automated scripts from registering and placing spam comments.

Smarty Template Engine: Generally, this is used as it is an efficient engine and is a favorite among webmasters in the PHP community.

Automated Image Handling: Thumbnails of images are created by default which can also be dynamically done by webmasters. This increases user flexibility which is very helpful for page designing.

User Interface: There are facilities to create folders which are akin to blogs inside the bigger site.

The items which have been recently created or accessed are stored in these folders while navigation can get the older ones traced.

A custom template set can also be chosen for the pages and folders used by a user.

Simplified Content Model: This version lays stress on folders and pages. Users can manipulate pages after creating a folder.
